Namakpare, a timeless Indian snack, is known for its crispy texture and savory taste.   4. 3 tbsp ghee or oil

  7. Water (as needed for kneading)

  8. Oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, semolina, carom seeds, salt, and ghee. Mix well until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  2. Add Water & Knead: Gradually add water to form a firm yet pliable dough. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Divide & Color: Divide the dough into equal portions and mix in different food colors. Knead each portion separately to evenly distribute the color.
  4. Roll & Cut: Roll out each colored dough portion into thin sheets and cut them into strips, diamonds, or desired shapes.
  5. Deep Fry: Heat oil in a pan and fry the namakpare in batches on medium heat until they turn golden and crisp.
  6. Cool & Store: Let them cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
